Children’s Day

Posted by Prashant Shah on February 21, 2011

There is one more theme to be followed for the collectors and investors i.e. Children’s Day miniature sheet. This year unfortunately there is no children’s day stamp. But still past issues are worth collecting. Here are some of the indicative images for you.

As the stamps have always been one of the tempting thing to hold, collecting the stamps using such themes are going to add a lot of value to your portfolio.

Joint Issues

Posted by Prashant Shah on February 18, 2011

People consider stamps as collection which are illiquid and are purchased for hobby. I disagree to this slightly because I consider stamps from the long-term investment perspective. Even though we don’t have any organised channels to liquidate the stamps as and when required, I am quite optimist on the rate of returns of the stamps. Good stamps are always going to remain scarce and you can add a lot value to your collection by having a particular theme. Today lets see one more theme of joint issue. In joint issue the stamps are issued in both the countries together and almost every year we have a joint issue. It’s a good opportunity to create collection. Always remember that, whenever you buy stamps, make sure that you have all the stamps in equal number because collection has value not the single stamp. Please have a look:
